Hello,

My forum has been just molested by these spam bots over the last few years. Today was the worst day, I'm glad I found your site and your work Smile

I've tried various other forms of anti-spam protection [ are you human, yes or no? radio button ] and some others that didn't seem to function @ registration time [ possibly due to the large combination of anti-spam measures ]. So I just reset all the associated php files, and I'm now using your mod.

It was by far the easiest to install, and I've tested it and all seems well. Now I can get back to my REAL work LOL. Not deleting porn spam all day heh.

Anyways, I was wondering if you had a Pay_Pal address for additional donations? I'm a fan of what you're doing, and would be glad to donate towards the cause.

I've just purchased the business license so you can just send it to me w/ the registration information or whatever...until then my blackberry and e-mail are going to be full of spam denials lol.

I also wanted to point out that you've done a great job with the stickied FAQs, and putting this project together.

Great work buddy!! Keep it up.

- Danny

[edit] I notice you replace every instance of pay-pal [ minus the - ] with a url to http://paypal_dot_bbspam_dot_com/ though that page is not found [ again, minus the _dot_ ] Wink.

Thanks again, you just confirmed that all these non-coding tasks are also important.

It's the traces of an old protection using Links Rejector: http://bbantispam.com/howto/words.html. Deleted it.

Ok I'm all set and running, I decided to have a little fun with it and link to a few pages with images/instructions containing the password...in the theme of 'porno password'.

"It's the adult version of the popular tv game show." ( from the movie The Cable Guy ) lol... Very Happy I love Jim Carrey, funniest dude ever.

http://www.radioactive-software.com/forum/profile.php?mode=register&agreed=true

Example...
http://www.radioactive-software.com/anti_spam1.shtml
http://www.radioactive-software.com/anti_spam2.shtml
etc...etc...

It really works like a charm...

If I disable e-mail notifications via your business key instructions, the e-mails will still be sent to your database correct??

This is what my inbox looked like when I woke up this morning...I think I'll disable e-mail notifications now Wink

Again, great work...I just want to be sure that by disabling the e-mails they still get sent to your database.

Thanks.

- Danny

No, the key disables all the notifications, both to you and to the database. And in any case, unfortunately, I had to give up the idea of the central database. (Some explanations are here: http://bbantispam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=56.)
