I was receiving a huge amount of spam initially so installed this mod on phpbb v 2.0.21 - ever since, no spam gets through but now no users can register either. When I first opened the forum, users could register fine, but since the mod, nothing...

When you try to complete the reg form and press submit, it opens the same reg form with a line at the top of the page saying "You must fill in the required fields". No matter how many times you try, is does the same action.

my forum address is > www.brightwell.net.au/forum

I'm no programmer so any help on this would be a massive help

thanks

Hello,

I've just visited your forum and reproduced the problem. Unfortunately, I can't help much: the problem seems being caused not by Textual Confirmation (TC) because TC seems not installed:

* The error message doesn't belong to TC
* I haven't found the TC files on the server

Suggestion:

* Repair the forum files from backup
* Make sure that the registration process works
* Download and install TC from here: http://bbantispam.com/tc/TextualConfirmation.zip

sorry I may not have explained properly - the problem only begun after I installed antispam on this forum not TC. Something from the antispam install has caused this issue...

any thoughts?

There is a lot of alternative antispam tools, it's hard to know about them all and theirs possible problems. Therefore, I recommend you:

* Find out which antispam tool you've installed
* In the tool's documentation find the authors' contact info
* Contact the authors
