Hi Oleg,
I am on the support team at phpBBHacks.com, and I was wondering if I could submit your Textual Confirmation and Links Rejector mods to the database? When the subject of spam prevention comes up, I always like to mention your mod, but we're not supposed to link to other sites if we can help it. If your mods were in the database, I could hook more people up with Textual Confirmation!
Thanks,
FoxyLoxy

I'd be very thankful if you do it.
Actually, phpBBHacks.com has Links Rejector (LR) under the name of just "bbAntiSpam": http://phpbbhacks.com/download/6643. And I'm in doubt what to do. On the one side, I consider LR to be a failed experiment. On the other side, on one of my forums, LR works perfectly as a good protection against human spammers.
As for TC, I submitted this MOD to the phpBBHacks.com database, but it wasn't accepted. I don't know why, and I consider it's too bad for community. Please help, if you can! The description can be taken from here: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=472940. The latest version is 1.0.7, the version on phpbb.com is 1.0.1, but it's not important: the code is the same. I was incrementing the version number each time I added a new language file. Now all the language files are put to the language pack: http://bbantispam.com/tc/tc_langpack.zip.
Also I wonder if it's reasonable to submit Advanced Textual Confirmation for phpBB3. Here is the discussion on phpbb.com: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=544007. _________________ Oleg Parashchenko, bbAntiSpam

Hey, I like LR. I don't consider it failed. I use it on a couple of forums, ant it works very well.
I don't know why they didn't accept TC and LR the first time you submitted. I'll try submitting them again. |

I like LR too, and it works well on one of my forums. But there are a few principal problems. I'll talk about it in the blog.
