Confused

way down in the how to install.txt before the sql bit is a 'copy' bit - where do i copy that code to???

I'm normally ok at working these details out but this one has got me stumped

i've tried copying it to just after where the '
<!-- BEGIN switch_textual_confirm -->'
stuff went but obviously that wasn't right because when i looked at the registration page on my forum I'm seeing seven failures like this

Warning: main(./includes/functions_tc.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory ---- etc

the failure is referring to the code I've obviously put in the wrong place

just where does the copied code go?

help would be appreciated

Sorry, my English isn't good, and I failed to understand your request completely. Please reword it: imagine you are talking to a 5-years girl Smile

You need to copy a file from the Textual Confirmation distribution package to the phpBB installation directory on the server.

Easy – my niece – she’s 28 now but this is what I found worked best.
‘Sit down, shut up and listen’ followed by and very loudly ‘I said, be quiet’ - sometimes it even worked, no chance of it working now unfortunately

Hi Oleg, thanks for replying

Your English is a lot better than you give yourself credit for

Embarassed I now realise I've had one of my incredibly thick moments – copy the files (not code) to directories, so obvious

Razz And now done, all is now working

Thanks

Funny about niece.

Don't worry about the thick moment: the installation instructions are far from being clear; the chances of misinterpretation are big.

Congratulations with successful installation!

i have been looking for the folder includes/functions_tc.php, but can't find it. i have one that says includes/functions.php but not with the _tc.php

after looking a long time, i came to realize the tc stands for text confirmation, and as i am adding something new, i am guessing i need to make a new folder for it?

thank you for any help!

No, I'm not going to laugh. I know how it's hard to install MODs for a non-geek user, and I'm working on making life easier.

Don't hesitate to ask questions.
