I'm sad to announce that the Textual Confirmation Code Has Been Cracked by Spammers. Evil or Very Mad

I have the code installed on 3 of my forums and starting a couple of weeks I started to get a lot of spam. At first I thought it was being done manually, but with the amount I'm getting now I suspect they found away around the code with their BOTS. I also changed all my Textual Confirmation questions and that didn't help. The Code has been Cracked!

Hope you guys can fix it!

I went back and deleted all the yes/no questions and math questions (what is 1+3?) and replaced them with questions like "what is the opposite of up?, how many hours in a day? how many days in a week?. Since I've done that, fingers crossed, I haven't received any Spam. So that maybe the fix.

Nice to hear that changing questions helps. The following categories of questions seems been compromised:

* Yes/No/True/False
* Arithmetic
* Colors

Bad news! I'm starting to get the spam again unfortunately! These spammers are a pain in the you know what! Don't know if they are doing it manually, but I doubt it! Now I'm wasting time deleting posts and accounts!

It's strange that spammers pay so much attention to your forum. Would you please give a link to the forum?

Just for curiosity, would you please show all your questions and answers?

As a quick fix, temporarily disable Textual Confirmation and install Advanced Textual Confirmation. The latter complicates the live of spammers as much as possible.
