Hello,
I would like to istall bbAntiSpam on my phpBB-Forum but there ist something, I would like to avoid:
for some time I've modified some phpBB-Files to make phpBB showing in Frame. Also I have edited some URLs in PHP-code. Will these changes be affected by bbAS or could bbAS destroy my Forum in my case?
With other words: is it harmlos, to install bbAS on a modified phpBB or should I take care of something?
Thanx!

99.99% that you don't need care. bbAntiSpam is written with this issue in mind. |

Hi,
We installed it on a board with EasyMod that has a lot of mods and it was no problem at all.
I would suggest you install the advanced visual confirmation, which we also have, to prevent robotic registration.
In addition we also installed Anti-bot Guest Post Mod by Oliver Tseng -> http: / / debatingchristianity [dot] com (sorry, this forum has bbAntiSpam, cant post links ). This mod adds a Yes/No pulldown and needs to be manually set to Yes before a guest can post. This prevents bots posting (although I have noticed some bots can do this automatically.
Good luck killing the spammers |
