I bet it's something SO simple!

Will Oleg be on anytime soon?

Ok I got it. It just needed to be this
require_once 'bbantispam.php';
with no folder. The files needed to be in the forum folder directory.

Now captcha isn't showing up? Any clues? Could anything else go wrong?

Nevermind! I just reset the config and renabled the visual confirmation and now captcha magically works again. Go figure!

This MOD was easy, yet difficult!

Thanks to all who attempted to help me. The whole problem was having the extra folder named bbantispam.

Cheers,

You will see the page after you tried to post a message in the forum. For me it seems that the page mainly occurs during the first posting and the second time it does not occur for me, You could try to log out as member and try to post as guest, if it is possible.

It's magically fixed now. Very Happy

Any other good MODS you could recommend? I get spammed by porn nearly everyday. I'm hoping this MOD will help out in some way.

Glad you got it working. I have PHP-Nuke with phpbb integrated in it as forum. bbantispam has stopped spamming for me completely although guests are allowed to post in my forum. bbantispam also stopped completely the member spamming i.e. with members registering just to show their link in Members List. I do not need anything additional to stop spam in phpbb.

For me logged as a member bbantispam only works the first post and on subsequent postings bbantispam does not show up. BUT it stops spammers, because they don't pass the first test. Sometimes two weeks later bbantispam works again for my posts.

Well mine is still working, it's just not consistent where it shows up? We've tested it several times and it either comes up during registration or before you post something. Both options are fine with me.

Anyone know how to target before a post only or during registration only? Possible some other MOD that is just as good as this one?

Get back if you can! Cool

It seems for me that the correct path for the initial setup was "bbantispam/bbantispam.php". But as it works now, let's don't change anything.

I feel sorry for all the frustration. The graphical installer is under development, but it isn't going to appear soon.

ATC shows up the first time when a visitor tries to submit something. If he starts with posting a message, ATC appears on posting, if he starts with registering, ATC comes up during registration. As long as the test is successfully passed, the visitor isn't annoyed anymore.

You don't need anything else.

It's possible if you remove the call to bbantispam from "extensions.inc" and add the call in the right places to "posting.php" or "includes/usercp_register.php".
