Most likely, your IP internet address is changed in between: for some reason, the internet provider re-connect your computer and gave a new IP, highly different to the old one. In this case, ATC decides you are a new user and asks a question.
There is no way to avoid IP-check because it's the important part of anti-spam protection. It shouldn't be possible that spammers get a pass-code once and than spam from theirs botnets. _________________ Oleg Parashchenko, bbAntiSpam

Most likely, you found this feature: ``Advanced Textual Confirmation ... challenges site visitors only once, and then disappears''. Indeed, if you are have passed the test, why to bother you again?
To get the form again, delete "bbas_...." cookies or change the questions. |
Hello I am the same person who asked the previous question which you just answered.
So if the IP had changed which internet providers change on a daily basis if not more, you get the question again. So more or less you have to answer the question on at least a daily basis to gain access.
Is there no way that once a user has answered correctly then that user be given the all clear to not be asked again and write it to the database so they do not get asked again?
Thanks Mark |

Unfortunately, yes. I'm answering a question every day on my sites.

No, there is no setting to disable IP binding. The only way is to edit source code. _________________ Oleg Parashchenko, bbAntiSpam

That's very strange, there is nothing could stop ATC. Except if you modified the layout of the question-answer form. It's not allowed unless you are a registered user. _________________ Oleg Parashchenko, bbAntiSpam

i have been getting a number of spammer accounts lately. Offering viagra and cheap meds, that sort of thing.
I have this program in place, and have about 10-15 different questions. BUT! they keep registering using a bot, from different ip addresses. Is there a way i can add a php string so that when someone tries to register with *@cheapviagra.com for example as their email or cheapviagra.com as their website, it auto bans them and emails me?
*If that website is real i wouldn't be surprised, but i mean in no way to advertise. you can ***** it out if you like.* |

I don't have experience with phpNuke, therefore can't suggest how to ban messages with specific words. Please ask on a phpNuke's forum. _________________ Oleg Parashchenko, bbAntiSpam

Sorry but that code does not work with PHP-Nuke 8.0. If I log out from the forums and try to post as a guest the post still comes through. I don't see the question with this code, but I do see it when I only use the include_once code. I want guests to get the question only, but the above if statement probably isn't correct because the PHP script is not executed. What is the correct code?
How can I make this work for PHP-Nuke 8.0 with BBToNuke 2.0.23 (the PHP-Nuke equivalent of PHPBB)? |
